Time to file writ petition

Petitioner(Employee) won the OA in CAT, (Employer) the respondent Govt. Department decided to file a writ in High Court against the orders of CAT.

Q1. What is the maximum valid time allowed for a Govt. Department to file the Writ Petition?

Q2. What if the respondent department file the writ after 120+ days after the order of CAT?

Q3. What if the High Court admits that (late) filed case & how long can it take to be on hearing after being admitted?

Q4. What remedies are available for quick hearing in High Court?

Thanks & Regards in Advance

There is not time limit for filling any kind of writ petition before High Court. Aggrived party can file such writ petition anytime after impugned order.

Thanks Respected Adv. Sagar R. Jadhav ji

One Lawyer told me that a writ has to be filed within 60 days after the impugned order.

Kindly tell me if this can not apply to service matters...

Thanks in Advance
