Transfer of immovable property

Hi all,

I live in Telangana and co-own two residential apartments - one in Hyderabad and the other in Bangalore. The properties are jointly owned by my husband and myself. However, my husband passed away in 2020. If I wish to sell the properties do I need any Succession certificate or Legal Heir certificate? I have two adult children and we have no dispute amongst us.

Obtain the legal heir certificate from the Tahsildar concerned and you and your sons shall execute the sale deed.

You have to obtain legal heirship certificate and get his share in the the property transferred to all the legal heirs name after which all the three can sell the property by executing a registered sale deed joiintly in favor of the prospective buyer.

Yes, you need to obtain legal heirship certificate of your husband  and then all of you can transfer the property to anyone.
