Title: Woman kills children to elope with her lover

JIND: A 35-year-old woman killed her two children aged three and five to elope with her lover, who happened to be her brother-in-law in Julhera village of Jind district. She fled with her lover on August 31, and then killed the children on way near Ambala and dumped their bodies. Haryana Police have arrested both, the woman and her brother-in-law, from a village in Patiala district of Punjab.

A take from a aam adami: Every day we hear mothers killing her children for extra marital affairs and eloping with her lover. Still law saying best interest of the child is Mother and Ld. Advocate Sh Prabhakar says a child is safe in the laps of mother and I counter him asking is father just a seed giver to his own child kya and shouldlall fathers here take a walk kya !. Question here is when will society understand a mother and a father are equally responsible for their child(s). Jind in Punjab is rural India Mr Ashutosh if I am correct in knowing simple geography of India ?

Last week Mother kills son (13 years old) by electric shock as the poor little child opposes her 'affair'. This week Mother killed her 2 children to "elop" with her lover. And we still say Innocent are rural women from India.......Abala Nari hai woh extra marital affairs mei uskey husband ney fasaya bechari ko - is it so ?

agree arun ji abla hai, usko fansaya gaya. hai himmat to adultery on this lady for punishment laga kar dikhao ? any law . even law supports her

Forget for eternity what comfort level the lady is now, but, she could have killed her husband why 2 innocent kids that also who came from her own womb is my question?????????. A adult has her / his own fitrat (English translate kar lena readers) agreed but why kill 2 and 5 years olds???????? what was their falul ????? I can understand in previou news posting (electric schok wala) there the lady's kid was of reasoning age (13 years as per JJA and or GWA Act) but here just 2 - 5 years ?????????????????? On top a Ipod winner reader says rural India women are certified a balas'..........

Varsha belonged to a well-to-do family and wanted to shift to the US

A woman reportedly killed her two children in a fit of depression and then attempted suicide at Naranpura in Ahmedabad in the early hours of Monday.

The police said Varsha Ramani (36), also left a note addressed to her mother-in-law Manjula, who is now in the US with her sister-in-law. Her husband Manish is an IT engineer and the couple stay at the upmarket Shankhnad Apartments near Loyola Hall with their children Dhruvi (9) and Parth (3).

Her-in-laws are US-based, but her father-in-law had returned to Ahmedabad in March and was staying with them. Both Manish and Varsha belong to Amreli and they had recently bought a flat in Sanklash Apartments, the police added.

Manish told the Gujarat University police in his statement that Varsha was sleeping with the children in their room last night. In the morning, he found the door locked and after breaking it open, found Varsha bleeding and the children dead. Varsha had apparently strangulated the children and then slit her wrist.

Manish said he had gone to his office on Sunday for a few hours to clear some backlog and when he returned home, Varsha and the children were asleep. In the evening, they went out shopping and returned home late.

Around 10 pm, Varsha went to the children’s bedroom and told him that she will return after the children go off to sleep. Manish went to sleep in his bedroom and in the morning learnt about the incident. The police said the family is well-to-do and were not facing any financial problem.

As you said Why women killed children ? The answer is we have to know the particular reason behind them,for( that we have to become CID ?) that is the investigation run by the police .As no mother kills her children.You specify the case that is rare one in indian society.

As Current Population of India in 2010 is around 1,150,000,000 (1.15 billion) people. Currently, India is second largest country in the world after China in terms of population.So,it is usual to occur some cases in Indian society.Don’t give to much imp. to rare one.
