Writing off an outstanding for which 138 N.I. case has been

Suppose I have filed a 138 N. I. case for a dishonoured cheque of Rs. 25 lakhs of one Customer ....

and the matter goes on for 5-6 years during which my accounts department writes off the said liability/outstandings of the said customer as non-recoverable ......

Wiil this effect the outcome of my case if I am told to produce my outstanding statement in respect of the said customer wherein I have already written off the liability as non-recoverable ?

It won't affect you case provided your case is supported by all relevant documetns such as agreements, reciepts, ledger entries of transactions, proving the customers liabilty.

However, it is normal to show the said laibilty as baddebts as being a bussiness requirement under commercial law.
