Dear Sir,
I am preparing for UPSC. Sections 506 and 509 were filed on me due to some love issues. I went to court for 5 trails and later we have compromised, case was closed in 2013. Hear I have two questions. 1. Do I need to mention about this while applying for UPSC?( Case was not filed in my Hometown/ District) 2. Am I eligible for IAS, IPS and IFS?

You are eligible for appearing in all examinations conducted by UPSC or any one for job. You have to mention the criminal reference of the case otherwise it would amount to suppression of fact. By the way what is the language of order sheet acquitting you of the charges?

No such details are sought while applying; the information would be relevant while submitting the attestation after being selected for appointment. It is too early worry over a non-issue.

fully agreed with Mr Venu. It is not UPSC but the deptt for whom they are making the selection has to decide on the issue.
There is no difference between eligibility with reference to police verification for selection of peon and IAS.
