hi, my father has a joint property with his 2 other brothers.my grandparents was not alive.i want to know that, is my father has a equal right in the house?
can my father construct a room in this house?

Definitely your father has 1/3 share in the mentioned house but it shall be better to get this partitioned prior to further construction by your father otherwise there is no legal hurdle to construct.

Your father can make construction in the joint property only with the consent of other sharers.
