Take permission of employer before filing admission form and complete law course.
Subsequently opt for either job or profession, your "friend" can not sail in two boats simultaneously.

Well advised. Service and practice as a law profession cannot go side by side under conduct and discipline rules of the organization. More so, employed persons are prohibited from registration for practice in law.

He may pursue law while continuing the employment, but he shall not be able to practice as a lawyer while doing the said job.

Yes, he can pursue Law degree with due permissions from the employer from a College recognised by the UGC & BCI. On successful completion of the LL.B. examination, if he so desired, he can quit the job and thereafter apply to the Bar Council concernd for "Sanat" to practice law.
