how long will it take to get divorce as i have filed the case two years back on the basis of desertion and cruelty.,,,wife started getting maintenance already....not ready for Mutual understanding..rather says will not give divorce...but herself left the home and myself.i want to resettle but she says she will not let me,,neither she will reconcile...clearly says she will pretend to reconcile in the court but will not in actual!!!...what option i am left with now...i want to live a peaceful life. please help.

yeah contesting..i have audio recordings to support my points where i am saying that she is been mistreating me..but till the time only maintenance issue was getting finalized ..now when it started,, she has approached the high court to get it enhanced....I don't know when my plea for divorce will get a chance to hear in the honorable court!...people tell that in our law system its impossible to get divorce if wife says she will not divorce his husband...is it really like this? what have i done to get this life imprisonment of its own kind?she herself left me and gone into the spirituality..some guruj bhakti.left home...left her duties as a woman/wife and mother. with lots of faith on my honesty,and our legal system and god i have filed the divorce...i cant get abused on everyday basis for no reason.she is been working all her life as soon as i filed the case she left her job and showing the "deen-heen" condition of hers to everybody.she took all her gold my investmnt gold coins everything to her parents place....trying to sell the property i have baught long back on her name to secure our and children's future.
she says u go to hell i will not divorce u. will i ever get rid of this woman?

Is there any stay from high court for not to proceed further the divorce case?

if divorce case is contested it will take years to get a divorce

Concentrate your divorce case. if you prove your allegations then certainly divorce would be granted.

1-sorry Mr Prabhakar,I shouldn't say like this i know,,,but i am fed up with her attitude..do not want to disrespect only thing i want is divorce. i have tried to do everything in the best of spirits throughout my 22 yrs of marriage still she can not appreciate the contribution.anyways.
2-no, there is not any such stay from the high Court.

Reality , truth is first casualty in legal system any where in the world.
You have to learn and use tactics , human reactions and psychology .
1) First start pretending from now on that you are not bothered but it should look real.
2) Show off you are more happy living alone carefree and enjoying life to the utmost.
3) And than there should be counter actions legal and others which can not be detailed here but any enterprising advocate can assist you.
Far counter attack proper home work must be done it should be precise , fast and with full force.
