What do we mean by 'trial' of a case by the magistrate?
Anirudh (Expert) 07 November 2015
Examining the claim of both parties by evidences produced.
Soumya (Querist) 07 November 2015
So how is it different from taking cognizance of the case?
Anirudh (Expert) 07 November 2015
First he has to decide whether a complaint/case is to be admitted or not. This he will decide on the basis of the contents of the complaint and the minimum evidence produced at that time. If he is satisfied about the veracity of the complaint, then he will take COGNIZANCE of the same.
