I was born and brought up in tamilnadu. For the last one year I am staying in maharashtra and completely relocated my family viz.. myself , spouse and daughter.
I got married in tamilnadu in June 2007. Now I want to register my marriage.Marriage happened in my house in chennai with only family members and friends invited.My wife is also born and brought up in tamilnadu.
Where should I register my marriage ?
What are the documents required to register?
Presently we have our
ID Proof - Pan card
Address Proof - Agreement and bank statements.
Marriage Photo.
My passport with chennai address - where my spouse name in mentioned.
Please guide me

You can get the marriage registered either in Chennai or in Mumbai depending on your convinence. Further, the documents mentioned by you are sufficient and an affidavit by both of you along with a condonation of delay for registration since it is past 1 year you got married must be attached with the marriage registration application. These forms are pre printed and usually supplied free of cost at the Marriage Registrar's office.

I am new to mumbai. Do I need to get any affidavit from a notary.Where should I register my marriage in mumbai. Could you please provide some lawers numbers in case of any help required for me .

Do I need to submit any marriage proof like receipt of marriage hall / temple.Because we got married in our house in chennai with relatives and friends.I have a daughter and we got the birth certificate. Is this useful any way for registration

As far as the first query goes I remember some professionals in this forum from Mumbai who could help you.
As for the second query there is no requirement of receipts from any marriage hall/temple also, the birth certificate of your daughter is of no use.

I visited the below mentioned site to know the procedure for registration of my marriage as we discussed in the above queries.
The below site says for I need to produce the original ration card and 2 witnesses in presence. As I told, I got married in tamilnadu and I am staying in mumbai for the last 1 year. We have our identity proofs(Pan card) and address proof(bank statements and leave and license agreement). Is this enough to get our marriage registered?
