Hiii everyone.
My query is regarding the insurance policies. If a transportation company hires a truck from a person/compsny, is there any provision regarding insurance of the vehicle that is hired that the company(hirer) have to pay some amount for insurance of the vehicle, or in case of accident what amount should be given by hirer to vendor and in this case what would be the role of insurance.

Depends upon the agreement terms between the company & the owner.
State the facts in details for further advise.

It is the owner of the commercial vehicle, who is to take the insurance cover to have safeguard against any eventuality. In case there is any agreement between the owner and hirer for reimbursement of the insurance charges to the owner, then its an internal arrangement not affecting the responsibility of the owner to cover the risk.

Owner of the vehicle should buy the insurance policy, if otherwise agreed upon.
