I started my regular graduation in 2018 and completed it in 2021. During my final year, I secured a government job in the UP Police and completed my last year of graduation while working. Now, in 2025, I have secured another job through SSC, which requires a graduation degree. I have a doubt— is my graduation valid for this job?

Regular graduation was completed in the year 2021. Again completed in the year 2024 while working? How is it possible? While working in a government job in up police, did you get permission from the higher authority to appear in the exams?

If the University (where you have completed graduation and awarded degree) is recognised by UGC, it is valid.

There is no statutory requirement that an employee need to get permission of the employer for further education. In the instant case, Degree granted by the University is valid in every respect.

Since you had started your further education before getting an employment, there may not be a necessity to obtain permission from employer to pursue the last leg of the course provided you have managed the attendance for regular course, however an information to the employer about the examination that you appear would have taken care of all the legal hassles anticipated now
