(Querist) 09 June 2017 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I am a student who had just completed masters in machine design and presently working as design engineer in a reputed company. But, my interest is towards pursuing law and become an advocate. So, I would just like to know whether if I join an evening law college to fullfill my interest, Is this type of education in evening law college on reguar basis is helpful to me to become an advocate in practice or not. and Let me know whether the students studying in evening law colleges are eligible to make a practice as advocate or not?

waiting for your valuable reply.

There is least harm in acquiring additional knowledge in law as per your taste and choice, find out local law college and complete the course, best of luck.

However, there are many glitched in the profession of law due to saturation (supply multiplied demand) therefore, you will find frustrated for initial 8-10 years in legal profession, if you do not have an already/existing well established platform.

You may check up as to whether the evening LL.B course run by the College concerned is recognised & approved by the Bar Council of India and UGC and if so, there may not be future issues for enrolment as an Advocate. However, as has been rightly pointed out by learned expert Dr.JC Vashistha, realities of legal practice and difficulties that may be encountered by new-comers entering legal practice may kindly be noted.
