Right of minor

(Querist) 11 June 2018 This query is : Resolved
A sale deed in the year 1961was executed in favour of two persons(buyers),one is major and the other is minor. The two persons are relatives but the major is not the Guardian of the minor. Is the deed valid?
Vijay Raj Mahajan (Expert) 11 June 2018
Firstly sale deed of property for minor along with one major as buyer is valid, only condition that minor cannot sell the property.
Secondly the sale deed made in 1961 for persons who in 2018 are all adults no more minor.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 11 June 2018
If the sale deed was executed/registered as per prevailing rules/laws at that time then IT should be valid even if the property was registered in the 2 persons including one minor..

As on date none is minor..

They can act as owners to manage/dispose the property as suitable to them..

Ms. Usha Kapoor,
Has anyone countered your view so far that you felt the need to stick on your view repeatedly three times?
