we are hindu family.our father had bought ppty in 1965.he died in 1982.our mother died in 1970. we are 7 legal heirs ;4 male +3 females. on sister married to a MUSLIM in 1972.Ther is NO WILL.
We are know proceeding for MUTATION.does law prohibits "THAT" married sister [to a muslim] from claiming righe in ppty.
Can we exclude her name in the list of HEIRS ? Maharashtra state.

By birth she is hindu and her rights are safe. She could continue to be hindu even after marrying a person of other religion. What is the problem for you to give her share.

agreed with Mr. Narsimha. Both your parents died. So what is the problem in giving a share to your sister.

Your sister who is married to a muslim man has the right to get a share in her father's property irrespective of the fact whether she is converted to Islam or not.

I do not know how this six months old question has suddenly propped up for answer.
Any way, forgetting for a while whether she converted into any religion or not, looking at the factual position on the death of the parents she was a HINDU. On that day itself she is entitled to a share as a legal heir. What she does subsequent to her entitlement has no bearing on her right.
