Wrong complaint on ipc 420 & 406

(Querist) 21 July 2016 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,
I stay in kanpur (U.P.) and need advise on below.
A shopkeeper has given some items to a person on cheque and that person claimed that he lives in my house on rent. Then at the time of delivery he took the material from the delivery boy in front of my gate and took away. The shopkeeper made a complaint to that person and included my name too under section 420 & 406. however That person got captured red handed after some time by doing similar activity in other area. I thought now it is over, but recently I got a call from local police station for the enquiry and after that came to know that police added my name too in his report as guilty and sent to court.
Now please suggest what I need to do as all the blames are wrong and as a precautionary measure can i take the anticipatory bail.

Thanks,
Rajesh

You have to seek bail from the court first.

"came to know that police added my name too in his report as guilty and sent to court" What is the source the information? Obtain a copy from the Court (through an advocate) or the Police Station (under RTI). Decide the course of action thereafter.
