354 ipc in a.p.

Cases relating to offences under sec. 354 IPC now pending and being filed after 2nd April, 2013 and even relating to the said offence committed prior to 3-2-2013 have to be tried by the Magistrates of 1st Class only.  Magistrates cannot commit the case to the Court of Session.  The Punishment as described by amended Act of 2013 only to be imposed if the accused is  found guilty but not under the A.P.State Amended Act.

Offence Non Bailable

Triable by Magistrate.  Magistrate has power to grant bail and try the case in A.P. from 2nd April, 2013

As per the judgment between Nallajerla Murali Kirshna Vs state of telangana, the offence of Sec 354 IPC is triable by maogistrate courts.
