     3rd Annual Summit on

“Financial Sector Legislative Reforms – Time to Address Gaps & Overlaps”

Wednesday, 29th May, 2013 New Delhi

Chief Guest: Justice (Retd.) B. N. Srikrishna, Chairman, FSLRC

We are pleased to share that ASSOCHAM is organizing a power packed Summit on “Financial Sector Legislative Reforms – Time to Address Gaps & Overlaps” on 29th May, 2013 at New Delhi. Justice (Retd.) B. N. Srikrishna, Chairman, Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC) has kindly confirmed to deliver the Inaugural Address at the summit.

This had become necessary as the institutional framework governing India’s financial sector was built over a century. Financial Sector needs to stand on sound legal foundations and remain efficient, well regulated and internationally competitive. The government with its visionary outlook constituted the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC), inter alia, to revisit the architecture of existing legislations and regulatory aspects of various financial sector laws and to fine tune them to the growing/ emerging needs of the country. The prime intention of this proactive move is also to analyze international competitiveness of the Indian Financial Sector and also to periodically examine transaction cost of doing business in the Indian market. This will go a long way in harmonizing the various financial sector rules & regulation and legislations to build India the preferred destination for foreign investors.

We have invited several prominent speakers from the Financial Market segment representing RBI, SEBI, PFRDA, IRDA, FMC, Min. of Finance, Industry etc for this summit to discuss and deliberate the recommendations of FSLRC for a wider understanding and also to seek overall feedback.

In view of the immense importance of this report which has been submitted to the government, there is going to be a paradigm shift in the understanding of financial laws and their ease of understanding for various stakeholders. We cordially invite you to this very important summit along with your colleagues. The registration form is attached for perusal.

We also would like to share that Sponsorship Opportunities also exist which can be used to enhance the Visibility Factor of your company and provide extensive networking with the policy makers, experts, financial sector professionals etc. The details are attached for ready reference.
