I own a flat in one of the big societies in Pune. Currently builder is in the process of handing over the society to a provisional committee of 19 members. Most of the provisional committee members were a part of the earlier adhoc committee of self nominated members of the society.
Actual Issue : Many of the residents have installed split ac outdoor units in the window area as there is no provision of service/maintenance platform in the duct area to install / maintain the ac outdoor units. I had called many technicians to check the feasibility of installing in the duct area but they refused citing danger and risk to the life. Some of the society members have installed in the duct area though under pressure.The adhoc team members were harassing the residents with continuous emails/notices etc with 10000/- rupees fine per month. As the same team members have got in to the provisional committee they would again bring this topic. As this is a new society 30% of the owners stay in the society and rest 70% are tenants. Also the the committee is trying to force the members not to install Window AC at all. As not many residents participate in the AGM, its a problem.
