Addition of wife name as joint owner for flat

Dear Sir / Madam,

Please note that presently myself (as husbund) is owner of the flat. I want to add my wife name as joint holder in the ratio of 70:30. Is it possible? If yes, what documents will be required to be submitted to society? please guide.

It is registered society in mumbai.

1.  Execute a Stamp duty + Registered Gift Deed of the 30% property in the name of your wife, and submit the same to the Society alongwith the Society Transfer Forms, for the needful.

HI, U REGISTRATION A GIFT DEED IN YOUR WIFE NAME OF 30% SHARE OF YOUR PROPERTY WITH PAY ACTUAL STAMP DUTY AND REGISTRATION FEE AS PER LAW YOUR STATE AND AFTER REGISTRATION OF GIFT DEED U GIVE ONE COPY IN SOCIETY THEN SOCIETY ADD YOUR WIFE NAME IN SHATE CERTIFICATE AFTER COMPLETE THE PROCEDURE OF SOCIETY RESOLUTION.

Thanks for your reply.

My father ( who recently expired) had made nomination of flat in my name ( in the year 2007). However, in his WILL (dated Apr-2011, he directed executor to tranfer the flat in my & wife joint name in the ratio of 70:30.

Society is saying that they can transfer the flat only in my name as per nomination inspite of providing WIL copy.

Is it correct?

The society is wrong. The WILL is the last wish of the testator and is a valid document.

WiLL is last document so WILL is right and society enter name of other as per WILL.
