Address proof in case of mutual divorce

I have read in number of articles that for mutual divorce both parties should be seperated for 1 year before filing the case in the court.

My Question : Does court ask for any document which proofs that both parties are seperated from such period?

the seperation dates are stated in the divorce petition and also in the individual affidavits o f husband and wife and as such the date of seperation mentioned therein is accepted by the court no other evidence is required.
