Advise on drug act

I am a distributor of a Pharmaceutical company having a wholesale drug license.

I had supplied certain medicines to a government department (CMO Office)

The sample of the medicine was picked by Drug Inspector from CMO Office which were later declared substandard by Drug control authorities.

The Drug inspector enquired from CMO office about purchase bill and the office gave the purchase bill of my firm.

The Drug inspector sent a notice to me and I had sent copies of purchase bills of the manufacturer to the Drug inspector.

The drug authrotities filed a case against the manufacturer but in the case have also made me an accused. However the CMO Office from where the drug sample was drawn has not been made an accussed by the department.

Summons were issued to me which were never given to me and now a Bailable warrant has been isuued by the court in my name.

Now the issue is that the manufacturer is based in Gujarat and he has never appeared in the court or recieved any summons.

A local Lawyer advised me not to recieve warrants or appear in court until the manufacturer presents himself in the court.

Is this the right course of action. Please advise
