Agreements on stamp paper

Which all agreements are required to be executed on a stamp paper.

Hi Amit All agreements wherein parties are bound to perform certain obligations on the happening /non happening of the event , are required to be stamped with the required denominations as prescsribed under the Indian Stamp Act read with the respective state stamp act. Moreover the documents which need to be stamped are also prescribed in the respective state stamp act. Hope this clarifies your query Regards umesh kapoor

Is a Purchase Order (PO) issued by the company is an agreement? Is it required to be taken on a stamp paper? if no why.

A purchase order is a a contract and hence is an agreement.Only instruments which require stamp duty under the Stamp Act neds to be stamped.

I had a query that whenever we prepare the agmt for example on Rs. 100/ stamp paper of the respective state and if it to be renewed for a further period of one year, then is is required to be stamped again or it can be done on white paper
