Ancestral Property Dispute

Hi

I have a question about ancestral property partition. My grand father and grand mother had 2 sons and 2 daughters. They gave their daughters their share of property before they died. There was no will written for their sons and it was verbally communicated that they should share it equally.

My father and uncle never got it shared legally due to disputes created by my uncle over the rightful 50-50 sharing. Few years back both my uncle and father died, before they could decide/clear the dispute and have not left any will for their children too as they themselves did not have a will from their father for them.

My father had three children (2 sons and 1 daughter) and my uncle had 1 daughter. Now the question is - Will my grand parents property be divided equally among their grand children? or should it be divided into two halves -one for each son who no longer survive?

If the rule is to share it equally among the grand children, will my Aunt's children be counted too? what would be the solution on the property given to my Aunts already?

Please let me know. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
