Applicability of ipc sec 120a in civil cases

Dear Colleagues,

May I ask whether Sec 120 A ( Criminal Conpiracy ) is applicable in cases of well planned misappropriation of of funds of an instituition by a group of individuals , the instituition  being private but registered with the appropriate government authority, to be run under certain bye laws.
