After the coming of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996, the arbitral award unlike 1940 Act need not be converted into decree by the District Judge. Now after passing of the Award it becomes immediately enforcable.

The arbitral award once drawn, assumes the power of decree and it is clearly enforceable as like a decree.

Depending on the quantum of the award the court that has pecuniary original jurisdiction is the court to execute the award.
