Divorce law update

My sister lives in India, and I’ve been living in the U.S. for over 15 years (I moved here for school and later got married). Three years ago, I got divorced using printabledivorce.com.

Is there an equivalent service in India? My sister also wants to get divorced but hopes to make the process as simple as possible. Are there any other options in India that can help speed things up or simplify the divorce process?

Consult a local advocate to file the divorce case in India.

There's no such service in India, she has to approach court of law for dissolution of marriage by a decree of divorce.

What is the correlation of divorce proceeding in your case and your sister's case wherein circumstances, grounds as well as spouses (respondent/husband) of both of you are different.

Indian but not US laws shall govern in case of divorce proceedings of your sister, if she intends.

If your sister and BIL agree for mutual divorce then it is fine can be settled within a year, but for contested divorce means to fight like wrrrior for minimum 2 - 3 years with consequential tributries.
