Even if you get the award, what is the use. How you will get the recovery of the amount ? Thus, you need to take the civil route for recovery

Banking Ombudsman is just a statutory body without a proper teeth of law, as Mr Rakesh said you will have to go for a civil proceeding.

Mr. Sanjay,

There is ambiguity in your query.

Whether it is a complaint before BO exceeding claim amount of Rs.10.00 Lakhs or an appeal before Appellate Authority against an award of BO exceeding award amount of Rs.10 Lakhs is not clear.  This is a forum for remedy for deficiency of services to customers of banks. There is no pecuniary limit fixed for complaints of customers against bank. Similarly there is no pecuniary limit fixed for Appeal by bank for challenging awards.  If it is appeal before the Appellate Authority, then it can not be called as complaint. Please clear the ambiguity.
