At present no college is offering such legal education in distance mode/correspondence course, and even if anyone imparts such an academic course, it is not valid for the purpose of practice in India. Many universities are offering certificate courses in specific Acts. Please search in google with keywords "Validity of legal education degree for practicing as Advocate in Indian Courts"

1. Legal Education Rules 2008 . This rules are framed by Bar Council of India under Advocate Act .
2. There are two courses which can allow person to practice Law in Court (Subject to other conditions) . First one is three years LLB course after any stream graduatio . Second is Five years course after 12th or equivalent
3. Now most state have centralised Common Entrance test . So based on CET + your marks in graduation etc. you can get admission on your merit no.
4. Ground reality of Law Colleges are for two weeks students come to College and then most of them disappears , many are seen at time of exam only .
5. Compulsory attendance is not followed in most colleges
6. If you get admission in Aided Colleges (Like state govt etc. ) fees are less . Private Colleges fees are more. New Colleges cannot be established for 2-3 years as BCI have decided not to give recognition for 2-3 years

Few years back two recognised board under Central Govt . CBSE and NIOS have started Introductio of Law /Legal studies at 11th and 12th Level . They help student for creating proper legal base.
For curosity I purchased both books of both board and read.
1. NIOS is distance education board established by MHRD . You can opt for only one paper too . My personal opinion was NIOS since self study material they made lengthy but it is good synopsis of entire LLB education of 3 years and create good legal base . There are many basic things which are not taught in LLB are taught there . So I prefer NIOS reading once.
2. CBSE board books are also good but I liked NIOS books and syllabus more .
