I bought an apartment from a reputed builder in Pune. I also have a letter from his VP sales stating that in case the possession of house is not given by 31st March, 2010 the builder is willing to sit across the table and negotiate damages. The sales dept on May 25th informed me that I can take possession on 10 day notice. On enquiring, I was told that the premises is ready although not livable but some people have taken possession to get the interiors done. The architect's completion certificate is yet to be obtained. My interor decorator now is not able to give me time as he had booked dates during March / April. Moreover his workers will be going on leave during the monsoons and has advised me to start the work after monsoons. The builder is pestering me for final payment and possession. please let me know what are my rights. Can I delay possession until september?
