Hi I would like to know if " Residents Welfare Association" and the  Committee Members take a vote to evict a tenant in Tamil Nadu? Even if the owner of the house where the tenant lives is against it?

1.  Eviction is a legal matter and involves lengthy legal procedure. Individual State laws are applicable.

2.  Welfare Associations are not empowered for all such issues.  If the Association is classified as a  "Residents Associations", then depending on laws, rules & bye-laws applicable to "Residents Association",  then eviction proceedings can be initiated.

3.  Point no. 02  ALSO applies for Cooperatives Housing Societies too, wherein depending on laws, rules & bye-laws applicable to Societies,  eviction proceedings can be initiated, as prescribed under the societies act.  However this is applicable only to Tenant-Partnership societies and not to  Tenant-Ownership societies.

4.  The preamble or say  "business"  of  "Welfare Associations", is not governance, BUT ONLY beneficiary service to the association member, with the connivance of each other and for the convenience of each other.  Besides that nothing else would be permitable for  WELFARE associations.
