Can divorce be filed after 5 months of marraige

Respected Lawyers, I got married 5 months back,from day one of my marraige i was torchured for dowry, and starved. My husband used to hit me and hez cronic alchol too which i learned after marraige ,two months back i came to my parents house ,all my jwellery and dowry items are with in laws..i was torchured by my in laws too....i dont want to continue this marraige...can i file for contested divorce now?? I am in depression and my parents are also very tensed..pls do reply to my query ...pls help!! Thank you

Dear queriest, it requires one year time from the date of marriage to file divorce case. However consult a local advocate who have well knowledge in divorce matters.
