Can i do llb while being in govt. service

Sir, Right now i am a student of LLB, And Suppose i got selected for Steno Job in the Sub Divisional Court, Will i be able to do LLB or i will have to Quit it. My future plan is to fight RJS and for that i need to complete LLB, and if i join the steno job in the court i know i will not be able to get my name in the advocates role as according to Advocates Act, 1961 But i need the degree of LLB to fight Competition Exam RJS (Rajasthan Judicial Services) ?? So my final question is- Can i do LLB while being in govt. Service ??

Hello Rahul,

You can certainly pursue your Law Graduation while you are still employed. You may complete it via distatant education programme. You will need to obtain requisite permission from the department so that you can avail leaves for attending exams.

While in employment you can not enrole as an advocate with the Bar Council.

You need to go thru the service rules, conduct and discipline rules of the establishment that you want to join.

While submitting job application/affidavit do mention the curse/study that you are pursuing.

Later apply for permission/NOC from concerned authority in office.

Check if option of evening classes is available.

Also check with BCI on approved collges/Univ/Mode.
