If i don't have leave and i want to give exam on working day what procedure should i follow so that no problem will be in future . provided at the time of application form filled for GATE exam i have not informed to the department and i am working in contract presently in education department but the post is regular after 3 year. ( but rules same like samvida lecturer their is no gratuity and dying cadre post after regular appointment )

During work hours employee is at the discretion of employer.
Must not leave workplace without due approval.
Half day leave ( CL/SL) on LOP may be an option.

I believe it is an entrace exam fora course. If yes? then while entering the course you need permission of the deptt. You will be closing your option to join the course if you sit in examination on unauthroised absence and also exposing yourself for departmental inquiry which will otherwise put serious dent on the existing career.

In addition to duly intimated/approved leave also check on rules to appear, in exam with due intimation to deptt.
