THANKS THANKS THANKS

If you know that your gradmother collected the payment for her share then why to spoil and bitter the relationship.

Negotiate and resolve to satisfaction of everyone as on today.

In the end :: AS already posted:: If you can bring all parties to table and reduce the matter to amicable registered family agreement then it is the best. Thereafter it can not be contested.

Otherwise the matter may linger on till Apex court.

So weigh all pros and cons."

If your uncle can not establish the cheque was a payment for share of grandmother he may loose on this count.

However you, your family ;and for that everyone in everyone's family may be rubbing their feet in courts for many years, for this case and also other counterblasts, disputes, that may crop up.

So finally it is your call.

Beyond this; Finally; Engage an able counsel well versed with local laws and family/property/reveneue/civil matters...............................and let your counsel advise you and staisfy you on the basis of what you show and what you don't have!
