Car caught fire

My Indica car Caught fire while in the parking slot due to unknown reasons damaged partly the dush board and

some internal parts. The insurance surveyor disapproved the electrical wiring cost of Rs. 26000/- on the ground that the actual cause of fire due to shortcircuit and the same has not been within the insurance critiria.

Is it True ?

In that case, Can I approach Tata Motors to repair the same under warranty as the vehicle is new less than

6 months old and well within the warranty period.

kindly advice.

Identify the cause of short circuit. Have you followed the service procedure (free service offered by the company). When did you service your vehicle last ?. If the service guys are negligent then you can hold the company liable for damages.... Mostly these types damages caused by  shortcircuits are not covered by the insurance company ?. How did you conclude that the fire is due to shortcircuit and not by other means ?
