Certyin e mail as evidence

In a civil case , defendant who was fighting as party in person ,files an Evidence affidavit along with petition under  Order 7 Rule 14 (3) read with Section 151 of C.P.C.

In the evidence affidavit, the defendant gave necessary certificate (as given   in https://www.iltb.net/2011/12/how-to-rely-upon-an-email-in-court/    ) since copies of e mails were to submitted as evidence to the court ,as part of the Evidence affidavit only

The Hon'ble Judge ruled that the necessary certificates have to be filed separately

Under what Order/rule/law is these certificates required to be provided

Also can some one clarify whether screen shot of an email be considered as equivalent to a xerox & hence not admissible as evidence or can it be considered as evidence since it is more like a photo

Can some one please throw light on the subject
