Hi

I want to change the name of my son aged 8 Years.

We are currently residing in Bangalore. My son holds an AADHAAR Card, Passport under the current address.

He was born in Vishakapatnam. He has a DOB from Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

How do I get the name changed in DOB Certificate, School records and in the AADHAAR Card and the passport.

Dear ,

FIRST OF ALL MAKE A AFFIDAVIT  DECLARING THAT YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR NAME ,THEN GET IT PUBLISHED IN NEWS PAPER ,AFTERWARD REQUEST DIFFERENT AUTHORITES TO RECORD the change ,if they refuse then prefer to file a civil suit for specific performance seeking declaration to the effect of changed name with directions to all authorities to record the same

Changing the name in the Birth register will not be possible now.  As advised, you have to publish the name change in a newspaper, attaching the copy of the said newspaper, get it published in the government gazette publication fulfilling the necessary formalities for that purpose and then if required you can approach civil court with declaratory suit.
