The recent trend in the society is seeing a paradigm change in the matrimonial relationship. The numbers of divorce cases are rising as more and more couples have been approaching family courts for divorce, resulting in rise of bitter child custody battles. Innocent Children are used as tools of vengeance by vindictive litigants who inflict severe emotional and psychological abuse on the child thereby seriously affecting over all growth of the child in his/her later part of life due to separation of a parent which leads to Single Parent Society.

Depriving love & affection of both parents, more particularly due to alienation of the child by the custodial parent and or denial of proper access to the non-custodial parent by the courts without realizing the serious consequences caused in the later part of the child’s life such as drug abuse, deteriorating educational achievement, premature s*xuality, mental/personality disorder, chronic depression, suicidal tendency, out of wed-lock birth, and often a major force behind serious crimes.

The Research Data States :

CHILDREN FROM SINGLE PARENT SOCIETY / BROKEN MARRIAGES ARE :

5  TIMES more likely to commit suicide

9  TIMES more likely to drop out of High School

14  TIMES more likely to end up as Rapist

20  TIMES more likely to end up in prison or become drug addicted

32  TIMES  more likely to run away from home

Dear Sirs & Madams,

It is really a Noble cause you are taking up in the interest of the future citizesns of this country, who unfortunately are at the crossroads amidst of increasing divorce cases in India. I admire you all and salute you. My Marriage is also running towards divorce as my FIL and his family members are from film industry and are using all the emotional, power and financial abuses on me to get me as illatom son-in-law. But I have been denying this since beginning as i have my own responsibilities at home and professional committments to the society at large. I can't simply submit myself after becoming a scientist in this country who is striving hard to solve some of the important problems associated with water sector in India. They have already gone for filing 498 A case against me in the year 2007 and got reconciliated. Now again, they withdrew my wife and my loving daughter from my custody forcibly and they have tutored my child to not to talk to me over phonealso. I am missing my daughter alot than my wife. I belong to a rural agrarian family and they are from TELUGU FILM INDUSTRY (Daughter of a Film Director). Kindly help me in this regard to get divorced without missing my daughter.

looking forward for your kind and valuable reply.

With regards,

Sambaiah Angirekula,

What is the age of your daughter? File a petition under guardians and wards act for custody or visitation rights of the daughter. File an application for interim visitation rights also. Consult a local lawyer and discuss in details all the facts so that after assessing the facts the lawyer can decide as to what grounds are available to you for seeking divorce.  It doesn't matter whether your in-laws are from film industry or cottage industry. If they are influencial persons, then you need to handle your cases strategically and intelligantly. Engage a good lawyer who wud work without getting influenced by anything.
