City civil court

Hi

Do I need to register with the city civil court bar association to be able to file a court case? I have my bar council membership.

In response to your query,

Yes Sir, you have to register with the bar association of the court in which you intend to practice even after having the bar council membership. An advocate, after having obtained a Certificate of Enrollment under section 22 of the Advocates Act, 1961, is required to get himself registered as a member of the Bar Association where he ordinarily practices law or intends to practice law.

Regards,

Aryan Raj
