If any order of the court is violated, to take the action against such person petition filed is known as contempt of court petition.  Yoiu can also file an IA u/o 39 r2(a) in the pending suit if court is violated by the defendnt/s.

Execution petition means it is a petition to execute the decree.  In this also you can pray for punish the Judgement Debtor for violating the court order.

The above explanation means contempt of court petition can be filed for violation of interim order of the court and execution petition can be filed only in case of execution of decree then, in case of high court final writ petition order violation, one has to file contempt of court petition or execution petition.
