A judge do inform the convict that he has the right to file an appeal against the judgement.

in a death sentence whether the accused prefers appeal or not the district court has to submit the case to high court for confirmation.  It is deemed to be an appeal.  As a matter of course the court is not inform.  Because the advocate who defending the accused will enlighten the same.,
