Maintenance Allowance

After disinheriting heir (left) by making a will, can unemployed parents still file maintenance against married daughter enjoying monthly salary of Rs.70000/-.? As stated earlier, she had exhausted most of Parents movable and immovable properties to secure her medical graduation from an expensive medical college.

Yes,The parents are entitled to claim Maintenance from the Daughter under Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and senior citizen Act.Even if she is a disherited Heir,The daughter is bound to provide basic requirements and medical attendance to parents.
