Can summons be passed against independent director for dishonour of cheque if only his name is mentioned in complaint ?

As per your question summons can be issued to independent director.

I'm asking sir how it can be initiated , can you explain me sir the process to initiate the summons against that independent director. The question is can summons be issued against independent director for dishonor of cheque if only his name is mentioned like consider "name and surname and he is incharge of and responsible for the affairs of company at the time of commission of the offence" than what's the basis to issue summons
