What we need today is "One Common Personal Law on matrimony and succession" not more than 2 dozens matrimonial laws as are seen currently. Secularism is stretched too much in this country.

we need deregulation of marriage and respite from biased laws, we are not getting wat constituion of india promised to us at its inception. it has been modified to their taste by our corrupt politicins thru parliament. we need a change of governance system of this country.

no common personal law please , why corruption should interfere family life.

why everybody should have modified hma enforced on them, even real hma was not like this we are following british christian marr law enforced on hindus.

marriage shud be deregulated and everybody shud have a contract registered in court where both parties are free to enter their conditions before marr by a clear pre  nupital contract which defines everything from children expenses maintenance , alimony in  case of separation.

governmant orv parliament has no right ti interfere with personal lives of people. these parliamentarians live most corrupt married life but they enforce most nonsense laws on general public. middle class suffers most out of it. for lower n upper class marriage n marriage laws have no meaning.

India is one and rights are equal only in books

but in reality, India is diverted into many parts like different law, community, castes etc.

But even then india is one !

Great truth but not beleiveable

i support mr d arun's view - we need a purely non religious matrimonial law.

so far i know - dr ambedkar refused to be the member of the drafting commitee for hindu marriage act on the plea that after special marriage act, no need of hindu marriage act.

perhaphs he was right.

special marriage act, has some problem also.

on what ground or on which cause it is special not clarified.

on the succession matter the drafting committee just follow the hindu succession act, which muslims felt very disgusting. there feelings also genuine.
