Hello How to get contact details of the defendants in a civil case.

There isn't any rule regarding speaking or contacting with an opposing party.

But entering into a litigation you should be aware of the last residential address of the opposing party and you along with you lawyer would be aware of the contact details of the opposing party. Even if you don't have the details your lawyer would be aware of the details of the opposite lawyer and probably of the opposing party as well.

Thus, with the help of your lawyer you could contact the opposing party.

In simple terms, the answer is "YES, you can contact the opposing party", though there is no provision as such.
