Hello,

Greetings of the day!

To answer your question, A section a well-defined and numbered subdivision in legal code and statutes whereas an article is a separate and well-defined part of a Constitution or a statute or a contract, containing a series of rules and stipulations, that are often divided into sections. The hierarchy goes as - Act - which consists of Articles - which are divided into sections. So what you need to know is that sections are a sub-division of Articles and Articles are a sub-division of an Act. But it should also be noted, that you will find the term Articles used in the Constitution of India and the term sections used in different Acts.

Hope this helps!

Hello, Greetings of the day!
For the query you posted, I would suggest that:
Articles are mentioned in the Constitution of India whereas Sections are mentioned in other procedural as well as substantive laws. Article are supposed to be the main aim or object of a particular law. On the other hand, the section is the segment or part of the Article. The Section should be in accordance with the Article and it would not override the section
Hope it helps
