correction in flat No. needed or not in my case and if yes, what's the procedure thereof.

I purchased a flat six months ago from a relative. the purchase was financed by LIC housing finance.
however, subsequently, when we've been staying there, we came to know from the neighbours that there is a mistake in flat number. it's mentioned as 1A when in fact it should have been 1C. 1A is the number of another flat in the same floor. the mistake has been carried over from the 1st owner. he got it from the builder. in all his documents, the number is mentioned as 1A (should have been 1C). he never stayed in the flat to discover the mistake.
now we need to know the procedure for rectification of the mistake. electricity bill is still now in the previous owner's name and he let us use it until the correction is made.

A recification deed could be executed.
