Here the court reafer the case;Surendra Nath v. Puspa, (1978) 2 Cal LJ 602 at p. 604, that the quantum of maintenance pendente lite under S.24, Hindu Marriage Act, would depend on various factors “such as, the ability of the husband, the needs of wife, the social status, age, education and other requirements”. It may also be noted that under S.23(2), Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956, in determining the amount of maintenance to be awarded to a wife, the first thing the Court would have to regard to is “the position and the status of the parties”. We are of the view that if the amount of maintenance awardable to the wife is to depend on the status and station of the husband, the amount which can be regarded to be sufficient for her support must also depend on and vary with the status and station of the husband. We would accordingly hold that the expression “income sufficient for her support” in S.24 of the Act would not mean only such amount as would be sufficient for the wife to eke out her existence at the subsistence level, but would cover such amount as would be necessary for the necessaries suited to the status and station which the wife would have enjoyed as the wife of the respondent-husband.

What kind of Indian Value is demanding "Maintenance"?? Can you draw any inference that why a man is bound to maintain the woman by default??

What kind of Indian Value is this, that a newly wed files a false case against WHOLE of the innocent family only for the purpose of making quick buck??

My problem is not with genuine cases (as said in other post), I'm in favor of saving the fundamental rights of every human being irrespective of their gender. However, I'm blunty against biased hypocratic feminists who want shelter, who need maintenance, who need all types of mental and physcial support from man but when it comes to saying it aloud, they feel shy and say they are independent.

Why does a girl feel safe while walking down a road? It is because she either has father, brother, boy-friend or husband somewhere who cares for her. But unfortunately it is again due to a creepy b*st*rd male who harrass this very girl. But ultimately, you cannot generalize these two different identities of man.

Feminsts are the ones responsible for biased laws, and spoiling their own families and then spoiling this world. If they get a favor by taking the name innocent and poor they happily call themselves so. But when there is no benefit attached, these same words become derogatory for them. Hypocrates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One usch annoucement says, "Please give seats to physically handicapped, senior citizens and females". Now this sentence is responsible for allowing every female who boards the train to demand a seat for herself irrespective of the fact that she was put in the category of old-aged handicapped   But if we generally call her or treat her like this category, she is free to file a police complaint :D

What rubbish is this? Is this also Indian Value?

This facility stays ON even when there is no crowd etc. Moreover there is special seperate seperate coach for females.

Moreover you comments shows my anticipation is right. No "feminist" would ever agree that while they want all facilities which an old-aged or a handicapped person takes but no one should treat them like this. Hypocratic!!

You really are amongst a disturbed and upset lot of women in India. You cannot see or understand my situation at all.

It's not about calling a handicapped with old-aged name or vice-versa but the point is about the fact that they deserve those seats more than anyone else do.

But how can you equate young female to a handicapped or old-age person? Any answer to this?

Isn't it unfair for a young woman to step into the public transport and immediately demand a seat (whether the transport is crowded or not)?? Is the of such reservation giving comfort to females or give them security against harrassment?

To my above question if you again feel it's non-sense then only dear god could have mercy on your no-sense brain ... :-|

Though my questions seem non-sense to you, but the fact is that straight-blunt-true facts looks like that :-) You have to learn to live with them, as lies and disguise have very short life but truth always stays ..

How you questions are related to "young female demanding seat for her comfort in public transport"???????? I asked simple language that the reservation is for comfort or stopping harrassment. But why would you agree that females misuse any and every provision made for them.

When seats were reserved it was NOT for your comfort but to help you avoid harrassment. But you guys started using it for your comfort. But how embarrassing it is, its clear from your way to avoid the straight answer..
