cousin marriage

you cannot marry first cousin according to indian christian marriage act 1972. she should be considered as yourt sister. under some circumstances, a dispensation can be obtained to allow a first-cousin marriage.but permission from bishop must be obtained The Church still discourages such marriages, however.

Does this  means even if such marriages are permissible as per customary law in South India Hindus and the on conversion to charistianity the person is deprived even of that relaxation?
